Resilience of Complex Networks

Prof. Reuven Cohen

One of the most fundamental properties of complex networks is their resilience to node and edge failures. This property impacts the robustness of infrastructure and natural networks, as well as on immunization against epidemics. We will survey results on the resilience of networks, present the generating function method for studying the effect of the failures on the structure of the network, and also present some recent bounds on network resilience.
